Tod’s is an Italian shoemaking business founded in the 1920s by Filippo Della Valle. His grandson expanded the business and turned it into a factory in 1970s selling shoes to the American departmenstores. The luxury shoe maker, Roger Vivier, was acquired in the mid 1990s.
The company makes shoes and leather goods under brands such as Tod’s and Hogan. The Peggy shoulder tote and Tod’s totes are renown for a stylish, yet practical, elegance. Classic Tod’s handbags have a good resale value on the vintage markets.
